비고(Description): 레바논화석중에세 매우 중요한 화석표본으로 가장오래된 뱀장어화석중의 한종입니다. A rarely seen member of the Order Angulliformes, Family Congridae, it is one of the earliest eels. The dorsal and anal fins have been joined to form a fringe running the length of the body, readily visible here. They probably fed on worms, crustaceans , and other small fare. The genus went extinct in the Upper Cretaceous. This is the largest example of the taxon I have seen in 6 years.
