Here is a very detailed specimen of Lycoptera sp. from the Jurassic of China. This specimen is large and exhibits superb detail - the bone structure is extremely well defined, and the fins are nicely displayed. The dark-brown color of the fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the tannish-grey matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a beautiful example of this Jurassic fish from China.
